Thank you so much for entering the Hell on Wheels Rodeo. This is our fourth season offering this Open Rodeo and we hope things will be bigger and better than ever! In an effort to simplify the entries this year, we are offering online entries as well as phone entries for each rodeo. You can also pre-enter online for future rodeos. Online entries open the Sunday before the rodeo at 8 a.m. and close on Monday at 5 p.m. Phone entries will be open the Monday before the rodeo 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. only. Please call 307-630-4821 if you wish to enter by phone.
There will be 8 contestants accepted for the performance in the bareback riding, steer wrestling, breakaway roping, bronc riding, calf roping, team roping and barrels. There will be 10 contestants accepted in the Bull Riding and 4 for novice bulls in the performance.
Calf roping and steer wrestling will be limited to 16 total entries (performance & slack) filled on a first come first served basis. Online entries will have priority. When an event is full, a wait list will be established. Please call 307-630-4821 to be added to a full event.
Breakaway, Team roping and barrels will have no entry cap (Ex: not limited to 16 entries)
Breakaway Roping is WPRA approved.
All events are WRA approved and money earned counts towards their standings
Slack will start immediately after the performance in the same order as the rodeo and there will be no rough stock slack.
One entry per person in each event.
Western attire is mandatory for all contestants.
Draw will be posted online at www.hellonwheelsrodeo.com (click through to this page via the contestant entry button) and on Hell on Wheels Facebook Page.
Pre-payment is required to ensure your entry. (Venmo or credit card with processing fee are accepted)
Thank you to Dickey's BBQ for providing free BBQ to all entered contestants starting at 5:30 at the brown building on the northeast side of the arena.
There will be $300 added money to each event ($600 for team roping and $150 for Novice Bulls). This is thanks to our amazing sponsors. Please thank them for supporting western sports. Money won over the course of the six rodeos and high money winners in each event will win a buckle. Overall high money winner will win a saddle from Usher Brand Saddlery. Thank you to Equinity and Bar-S for sponsoring the saddle this season.
This year's high money winner over the course of six rodeos will win an Usher Brand Saddle. All high money winners in each event will win Hell on Wheels championship buckles.
All contestants MUST check in with the rodeo secretary before their event. Failure to check in will result in you being turned out and forfeiture of your entry fees.
Hell on Wheels Release form MUST be signed and turned into the rodeo secretary before participating even if you're running in slack, this also includes participants in the calf scramble. The rodeo secretary is found in the brown building on the north east side of the arena. Contestants under the age of 18 MUST have a release signed by a legal guardian.
